(New York, NY, April 30, 2024) Esteemed costume designer Paul Tazewell has been nominated for the prestigious Tony Award for Best Costume Design for a Musical for his outstanding work in the Broadway production of "SUFFS." The musical, written by Shaina Taub, brings to life the inspiring story of the suffragists and their tireless fight for women's right to vote.

Set against the backdrop of 1913 America, "SUFFS" follows the courageous suffragists as they navigate the challenges of their time and rally for social change. Led by visionary co-producers Hillary Clinton and Malala Yousafzai, the production has garnered widespread acclaim for its poignant storytelling and powerful performances.

"I am deeply honored and grateful for this Tony Award nomination for Best Costume Design," said Tazewell. 'SUFFS' has been a passion project for me, and I immensely proud of the collaborative effort that has brought this powerful story to life on stage. It has been a privilege to work alongside the talented team behind this production, and I share this nomination with them. To be recognized by the Broadway community in this way is truly humbling, and I look forward to celebrating the artistry and creativity of all the nominees at the Tony Awards."
