No surprises that Paul Tazewell, the Oscar-winning costume designer for Wicked, would be handily dressed. Tazewell referenced Black dandies of the past—the theme of the upcoming Met Gala, by the way—and Yves Saint Laurent’s 1966 Le Smoking tuxedo.
